Sophie is a breath of fresh air in the Australian Tattoo industry, not just because she is a
pretty young female artist, but rather because of her amazing talent and sense of professionalism. It’s truly amazing how one so young can have such a work ethic and attitude towards excellence, but she certainly does possess those attributes in bucketfuls. This glamorous and gifted artist will break a lot of hearts in the years to come whilst at the same time delivering superb ink creations.
Sophie is a ‘traditionalist’ tattoo artist, which is even more remarkable as she does the same type of designs that our forefathers did some forty years ago. A gifted free hand artist that shines when it comes to crayon drawings, Sophie has an eye for detail that is remarkable. From the age of seven Sophie’s parents were aware of her amazing gift for artwork, drawing and especially oil paintings. It’s true to suggest that Sophie is a talent artist in all areas of art.

Sophie was born in Essex, England and did her early schooling there and emigrated with her family to the sunny shores of Australia at the age of eleven. As opposed to disrupting the young life, the move to Australia was just the shot that nurtured her love of art from a hobby to a passion and now a career. Sophie is also an avid fiction reader and loves to dance to the early hours of the morning, and is a music nut that loves all genres.
Sophie left her formal schooling with good grades and entered directly into employment as an apprentice tattooist and was thrilled to be invited to train under Fantasy Ink’s Master Tattooist Sav. Only a few very gifted people ever receive invitations to train under Sav, who is recognized as Australia’s leading commercial tattoo artist, and Sav believes Sophie will become the Tattoo Queen of Australia in a few short years. This recognition is high praise indeed as Fantasy Ink has set the bar at a dizzy height for tattoo artists, which could be argued are world leaders even outshining the much publicized American artists.

Sophie has a busy schedule with art studies and other activities, however she will be available at the Mt. Pritchard studio on a part time basis, so it is vital to ring or e-mail to make a booking as she is likely to become booked out very quickly. Already Sav, Dee and Mizzi are booked out with waiting time for their talents a must but people understand that if you want the best you have to get in line and wait, we expect that Sophie will go the same way and in time become hugely popular and ‘always’ in demand.
